This is for all my ADHD-ers!

It’s a real thing

I was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder or ADD the less well known cousin of ADHD, the H part that I’m missing stands for Hyperactivity. Whilst I have some Hyper tendencies, I didn’t score as highly on the hyperactivity scale, so I was officially titled as ADD rather than ADHD.

Super power

ADD impacts my life in many many ways, as my loved ones will gently testify! However when it comes to creativity it is my superpower. It allows me to go into hyperfocus and to see and think very differently which I find so helpful when it comes to conceptualising designs.

The tricky

However the flip side is life with ADD can be beyond tricky! Organising myself and planning daily tasks can be a real challenge. So I have found hacks along the way to help myself out when I’m distracted, procrastinating or lacking focus.

I recently was reminded of the benefits of listening to white, brown and pink noise to maintain focus. Wow, just wow, oh my word this is a game changer.

Game changer

I found a Spotify playlist (below) and listened through my headphones and now I actually get sh*t done! My productivity has sky rocketed. It was such a dramatic shift, that’s not an exaggeration. It was as though a screaming baby (my loud mind) was given a dummy to pacify it and everything became calm.

I’m converted. Here’s the playlist for you:
